On the 16th of November 2011 Maples Collegiate celebrated its first Diwali. Diwali, the festival of lights, is the most popular of all the festivals from South Asia. Channel 7 Oaks was there to broadcast the event to the World. Here are some of the performances we recorded that evening. The Maples Diwali Celebration Series - Part 4:

Mahia Mein Long Gavaeya
A girl and a boy sing back and forth.  The girl says that she has lost her nose piercing and asks the boy to help her find it.  He asks her where she lost it.  The girl talks about her beauty and her dancing ability and the boy talks about his strength and bravery.
